仕事中・移動中のBGM、その他の音楽
自宅での仕事中はたいてい音楽をかけている。電車での移動中もiPod touchに入れたものを聴いている。一時期音楽が嫌いになって遠ざかったこともあったが、iTunes（→AirMacExpress経由でスピーカーOUT）／iPodの出現以降、再び積極的に聴くようになった。
音楽の体内時計がだいたい2000年前後で止まっているので、基本的に80年代以前から90年代にリリースされた音楽を聴くことが多い。新作はたまに買う程度。レンタルや図書館、中古をよく利用している。自宅に90年代頃に買ったCDが多数埋もれているのでそこから引っ張り出してくることもある。
音楽に求める要素のひとつは、BGM的であること。生々しさとか作家性、メッセージから遠くかけ離れた音楽を好む（自分がデザインに求めるものとよく似ていて面白い）。その点ストレートなロックは苦手である。かと思えば、幼少期から中高生時代に出会った、歌謡曲や洋楽のチャート・ミュージック、テクノポップ／ニューウェイヴ（YMOなど）、ジャズ／フュージョン（CASIOPEA）の影響が強く、そこから派生した音楽もいまだに聴く。
iTunesのプレイリストにはアルバムやアーティスト単位で登録し、それらをジャンル別（かなり我流だが）にフォルダに分類している。以下に並べた主なプレイリストを眺めていくと、ぼくの心の音楽宇宙があからさまにわかってしまうのではないだろうか。以上、連休中の仕事の合間に思いつきそうな企画でした。興味のある方はLast.fmの最近聴いたトラックもご覧ください（これは恥ずかしいね）。
